If there is ever a game that never stops giving, it would be The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, largely thanks to the ever-vibrant modding community.

Released in 2011 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Bethesda’s Skyrim is the most popular entry in its Elder Scrolls fantasy RPG series with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It’s a major reason why this popular game has been ported in every console generation since its original launch.

Check out the Skyrim Anniversary Edition trailer below!

“Skyrim reimagines and revolutionises the open-world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world open for you to explore any way you choose,” reads the description of the game. “Battle ancient dragons like you’ve never seen. As Dragonborn, learn their secrets and harness their power for yourself.”

The modding community is packed with talented indie developers who continually breathe new life into the games we love and Bethesda RPGs are no strangers to their delightful skills. Perhaps one Bethesda game that has benefited most of all from modders is Skyrim.

One such mod created by Unorthodogg and available to download for free via NexusMods is called ‘Skyrim Re-Cut - Restored Locations, NPCs, Items and More’. This mod does exactly what it says in its heading and restores cut content from the game.

What’s particularly handy about this mod is that it collaborates previous mods created by Unorthodogg into a single, easily accessible location. Oh, and of course, it adds a lot of additional content to this beloved RPG classic. So hopefully, it should help to keep you busy while you agonisingly await the arrival of The Elder Scrolls VI.

Sadly, unlike some mods that are available with the console version of Skyrim, this is a PC deal only. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
