If you’re a fan of the dark elf, Varona Nelas who met her demise way too early in Skyrim, then you need to download these free quests ASAP.
Without a doubt, Skyrim is the most popular entry in The Elder Scrolls series and Bethesda knows it. Otherwise, why would this beloved fantasy RPG get ported to every console generation since its inception in 2011?

With each new release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim came improved visuals and performance, that being said, those infamous Bethesda bugs are seemingly never totally eradicated.

However, with the release of Skyrim Anniversary Edition in 2021, the Xbox version of the game could take advantage of tons of mods via the Creation Club, a feature that eventually made its way to Fallout 4 and Starfield.
Sadly, while the mod featured in today’s article is not currently available on Xbox, those who play Skyrim on PC may be pleased to know that Varona Nelas lives (a bit longer).
Created by modder Enodoc, ‘Varona Nelas Lives Longer - Reluctant Steward Delayed’ is available to download now for free via Nexusmods for the PC version of Skyrim.
Players first encounter Varona during the ‘Reluctant Steward’ quest but sadly, this fan-favourite NPC soon meets an untimely demise, cruelly dispensed on the side of a road, never to be seen again. Thankfully, this mod changes that, granting at least two quests with Varona.

“Varona Nelas will no longer be killed almost immediately after entering Tel Mithryn for the first time,” reads the description of the mod. “You will now need to complete Favor Quests for Neloth, Talvas and Elynea before Reluctant Steward will trigger.”
According to added details on the Nexusmods page, some of the coding used for this mod already existed in the game. So it appears that Bethesda may have originally intended for Varona to not have died so soon after meeting her.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
