Forget about Red Dead Redemption 3, we don’t want it. Well, okay, we do, but it’s many years away at this point.
Instead, we’re jumping into some mods for Red Dead Redemption 2, and one in particular that expands the map, giving you a lot more to keep busy.
PC players now have a chance to play the original Red Dead Redemption
Bandit Hideouts is a mod that can be installed in Red Dead Redemption 2 to add a bunch of new hideouts that can be attacked and cleared.

According to the mod page, you can adjust the number of bandits at each camp to increase the difficulty, or even choose which gang will make it their home.
There’s even an option to decide if zombies will spawn there, rather than bandits, which is a nice touch for a bit of variety.
You’ll get a new in-game map to guide you around, and you’ll earn money for each camp you clear.
It’s a great way to extend your favourite game a little further.

The world Rockstar Games gave us is already superb and littered with hundreds of things to do, but mods like this can keep you going a bit longer, if you don’t want the adventure to end.
With a fully customisable mod like this, you can rinse and repeat the side quests of clearing camps as often as you wish.
All you have to do is edit the .ini file, but all instructions are included, so you don’t feel lost.
The bandit camps are often one of the more exciting parts of open-world exploration, and with repeating rewards, you can get rich quick.

So, if you’re thinking of replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 in the new year, especially if you’re a Rockstar Games fan and want something to play while you wait for GTA VI, then give this mod a spin.
