As much as we all appreciate the stunning highs and lows of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur Morgan is done dirty.

His end is a tragic one that feels unfair for such a beloved protagonist.

Despite not being canonical, this fan-created Red Dead Redemption 2 epilogue is a way to ensure Arthur gets the ending he really deserves.

Arthur’s Redemption is an aptly named title for this alternate conclusion to Rockstar Games’ epic wild west adventure.

Take a look at some of our favourite wins and fails.

To ensure that this epilogue fits into the narrative, certain changes, besides the obvious one of Arthur’s health, have been made.

Most notably, Dutch, Micah, and Lenny are conveniently missing so as not to trigger the ending none of us want to watch again.

Our hearts can’t take the pain.

As its creator, RedPeds, explains, “Arthur's story doesn't stop in Chapter Six. He is healthy again and you can start a new journey with him and the remnants of the gang. There are three camps: BEAVER HOLLOW, CLEMENS POINT & SHADY BELLE.”

“I absolutely love this mod!” reads a comment from FreightTrain2 on NexusMods. “It helped me to remove bad taste which [the] original story left me with.”

Another fan said, “I really like this how mod basically just gives you all the fun, simple companion missions from the start, while ignoring story missions that get tiresome after multiple playthroughs.”

Some of you may prefer working through every mission as if it’s your first time, so if that’s the case, this happy ending isn’t going to work out well for you.

But at least it does for Arthur, and that’s the most important thing you selfish monsters.

We hope you allow Arthur to live out his days in peace, but if you don’t, please at least check out this creepy discovery.

A secret church is giving players the heebie jeebies, and once you see it, it’s not difficult to understand why.

Whether you visit said church or not, we can rest easy knowing that just this once, Arthur lives!
