A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 fixes one of the most annoying parts of the game, and we couldn’t be happier.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is considered the gold-standard when it comes to open-world games, putting major pressure on Rockstar Games’ next release, GTA VI, to live up to the hype.
Check out the trailer for GTA VI below.
However, even Red Dead Redemption 2 has its downsides, and the one we’re talking about today is the biggest hurdle to replaying the game as well as finishing it to begin with.

We are, of course, talking about the game’s prologue, which sets the stage for the story and introduces several major gameplay mechanics players will need to learn for the full game. However, it’s also boring, bloated, and outstayed its welcome for those who just wanted to get stuck in to the world and explore.
Luckily, you can download a mod that allows you skip the prologue entirely, as well as ensure all five gang members you have to help have their requests fulfilled.
It does this by dropping the player into a save file at the beginning of Chapter 2, so if you fancy replaying the game but not taking slow walk up a snowy mountain, this is the mod for you.
Unfortunately, this is only available for PC players. I’m afraid those on Xbox and PlayStation will have to endure the lengthy prologue every time they play.

That’s not the only mod you can get to revitalise your game either, a few of the most-popular ones at the moment include a brand-new epilogue starring Sadie Sadler, and ones that generally make the game look prettier than it already is.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is playable on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms, get comfy with it too as we’re not getting Red Dead Redemption 3 anytime soon.
