A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 completely overhauls the game’s ragdoll physics, making every movement more immersive.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s popularity still hasn’t dwindled over the five years it’s been out. Players in their thousands are still roaming the game’s open world, which many consider the greatest map in video game history.
Check out these Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.
While you could ride from point to point and take in the sights and secrets all day, you’ll likely encounter trouble along the way. When that happens, you’ll get to pull off some sweet revolver moves like you’re Clint Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

However, if you want to take your shootouts and stand-offs to the next level, the below mod will definitely be of interest to you, provided you primarily play on PC.
The mod Dramatic Ragdoll Overhaul completely changes how the player’s character and NPCs react to being hit or shot in the game. Its creator, GEOLOGIST, has said the mod adds a more dramatic and cinematic feel to enemy combat, as NPCs will now perform a variety of different animations when they’ve been taken down.
You'll reportedly see: “NPCs grabbing [their] head and stumbling around when shot in head; NPCs freeze, look down at wound, and then stare at you when shot in abdomen (only happens when shot with pistol or revolver); Different reactions when shot with different ammo types; NPCs fall down instantly when knocked out; When hit with a throwing item, they will fall down, or they will stumble around for a bit; NPCs launch when shot with shotgun.”
While Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t short of realism in the base game, the Dramatic Ragdoll Overhaul mod takes the game a step further to being the cinematic spaghetti western game it’s inspired by, and it makes shootouts way more satisfying.
