Two of the best post-apocalyptic games on PlayStation in recent (ish) years are The Last of Us and Days Gone, so when the devs of both games team up, you can bet it piques our interest.
I know that Days Gone, developed by Bend Studio, had a troubling launch on PlayStation 4 in 2019 but if you play this game on PC or PlayStation 5, hopefully, you’ll find it more enjoyable and most certainly a more stable game. Then we have The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, a game considered by many to be a legit all-time great, enough said.
Check out the Ashfall trailer below!
Developed by Legendary Star Studio and published by NetEase, Ashfall is an upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year. Ashfall looks like it’s taken a page out of Bethesda's book with its Fallout inspiration quite clear to see.

“AI has risen and launched a nuclear war against humanity. As ashes descend upon the ruins of civilisation, you are tasked with leaving the safety of your vault to find the key to saving the world,” reads the synopsis of Ashfall.
What’s more, Ashfall is being created by a team of developers formerly of Bend Studio and Naughty Dog that has collectively helped to bring us the likes of not only Days Gone and The Last of Us but also Uncharted: Golden Abyss and PS1 classic, Syphon Filter. So you know, Ashfall does come with ties to Web 3.0 which somewhat dulls the excitement, but we’ll try to ignore that, for now.
No release date has been announced for Ashfall at the time of writing but hopefully, we’ll get a release date and perhaps a new gameplay trailer in the coming months. We’ll have our fingers crossed as we wait for that to happen - let's hope they drop those Web 3.0 ideas while they're at it.
