If you enjoy Hogwarts Legacy and just so happen to play on PC, you’re going to want to nab this free mod to provide your game with a snazzy new feature borrowed from Rockstar Games’ iconic Red Dead Redemption 2.

It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy is crying out for new content. We do know that some is on the way. The PlayStation exclusive Haunted Hogsmeade quest is due to land on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch this summer, while devs also teased other “updates” and “features” across all platforms as they thanked fans for the game’s one year anniversary. As for what those updates will entail, we’re advised we’ll find out in the coming months. While most of us will just have to patiently wait until then, PC players can benefit from downloading a fantastic new mod.

Enjoy a tour of Hogwarts’ four house common rooms below.

The ‘NPC Schedule Enhanced AI (Better AI)’ mod comes from NexusMods user Khione95. If you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll know just how realistic its open world feels. NPCs don’t just walk back and forth across the same stretch of ground, or repeat the same dull line. They have lives, schedules - they’re full of detail. Well, this mod attempts to add that kind of detail to Hogwarts Legacy.

The mod will ensure that students attend classes, and will add professors patrolling the castle at night. Hogsmeade’s vendors will now leave at night and return to their homes in the game’s various hamlets. NPCs will also now physically walk to Hogsmeade, the Great Hall, and so on from their default location.

That’s not all. You’ll also spot more students and teachers walking to Hogsmeade on weekends, students will return to their common rooms at night, they’ll attend breakfast in the Great Hall in the morning and finally, dinner in the Great Hall in the evening. The mod is free and available to download now.
