Hogwarts Legacy is a damn good-looking game, unless you’re playing on the last-gen version that is, and this overhaul mod does a spectacular job of making it look better.
The hype for the game has unfortunately died down, but despite its connections to J.K Rowling, the game impressed players with its accurate recreation of Hogwarts and its surrounding areas.
If you’re in the mood for more Harry Potter games, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is your best bet.
While the game has very pretty graphics on the PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of the game, we can do better - and mods make it possible.

This is brilliantly showcased through Digital Dreams, which recently posted a video of Hogwarts Legacy's gameplay on the highest settings possible.
It arguably brings a little more magic to the game, as the 4K visuals, smooth-as-silk framerate and general ultra-ness are a sight to behold.
Things get more impressive when the game takes to the skies, and the sunset shimmering behind the castle is arguably one of the best views in the game.
The only let-down is we didn’t see any combat, as with these settings, the technicolour showdowns with dark wizards probably looks exceptional unless the game can’t handle it.

It makes you wonder what Hogwarts Legacy 2 is going to be like, as it’s presumably being made for the next generation of consoles, so we can expect a significant improvement in the graphics.
Of course, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 gamers will probably have a port as well, limiting it slightly, but nevertheless we should expect big things.
If you’re looking to replicate some of the effects seen in the Hogwarts Legacy video, there are plenty of mods out there to choose from, and a few guides on which ones to install for the best results - including a ReShade preset in the video's description.
