GTA 6 can wait, this GTA 4 next-gen overhaul is jaw-dropping

GTA 6 can wait, this GTA 4 next-gen overhaul is jaw-dropping

Niko, you look like a new man

The launch date for GTA VI is still months away, and that’s assuming there’s no delays.

We need something else from this franchise to get lost in instead of waiting around pining for a game we’ve only seen one trailer for.

By all means, continue to be excited about what Rockstar Games’ new addition will bring, but don’t just sit around waiting. Not when there’s a GTA IV next-gen experience to be blown away by.

GTA IV is a fan-favourite of the franchise, having been described as being “on par with GTA V”.

Some fans have even gone as far as claiming it’s the “best GTA game”.

We think you'll be impressed with this GTA IV graphical overhaul

Even if you don’t personally agree with that statement, Niko and co have left a lasting impression on players.

As a result, why wouldn’t we want to play the 2008 title with a fresh lick of paint – it sounds like a dream come true to us, honestly.

Shared on Ultra High Gaming’s YouTube channel, you can see what “photorealistic” GTA IV looks like.

It’s a thing of beauty.

There’s so much depth of colour to its graphics, not to mention crisp definition; your eyes won’t stay still while you try to take in how amazing this remastered version of the game is.

“Bro, I love GTA IV physics!!!! Looks amazing bro!” exclaimed one extremely overjoyed fan.

Someone else posted, “Finally some colour...”

Not quite the ringing endorsement considering how much effort has gone into making this overhaul a reality.

Still, it shows that even the most stoic of fans notice a difference.

Rumours have been swirling that an official Rockstar remaster is coming for GTA IV, though such claims haven’t been confirmed.

If a remaster is indeed in the works, we hope that it looks as stunning as this.
