The end of the year is within touching distance.
I hate to put it to you in black and white but it’s been yet another year without a new Fallout release, if we’re talking mainline games that is.
Of course, 2024 has brought us Prime Video’s TV adaption, which was fantastic, as well as a steady stream of content for Fallout 76 - a game which has arguably never been better than it is now.

The only downside to all of this is that there appears to be a greater appetite than ever for Fallout, and a new mainline release is yoinks away from being a tangible thing.
Remember, Bethesda is hard at work on The Elder Scrolls VI which also remains several years away from launch and work on Fallout 5 won’t kick off until after that.
Thankfully, the Fallout fandom boasts a vibrant modding community, so if you’re on PC (and to an extent Xbox, depending on whether a mod is hosted on Creation Club), you can constantly inject new life into Fallout’s various experiences.
Today, there's a Fallout 4 mod that I want to recommend that adds in over 50 new quests so it is sure to keep you busy.

ICYMI: Take a look at our game of snog, marry, irradiate with the cast of Fallout below.
The mod in question is ‘Fourville’ by NexusMods user Seddo4494 and while it is one that’s been around a couple of years, it did receive a welcomed update just a few months ago.
Fourville is essentially a brand new location packed with quests to keep you busy.

“On the day of the Great War, the residents of Salem made their way to the shelter of Vault 4. Only those registered in the vault programme were granted entrance. Some refugees reasoned that if they could wait out the twenty-year closure period, which Vault-Tec had advertised, then they would be able to find shelter when the vault opened,” the synopsis reads.
“More than two-hundred years later the town had changed a lot. A town grew up inside the cave outside the vault, its houses made from reclaimed Vault-Tec equipment and built into the walls of the cave which have been dug out as generations of residents tried to get inside the vault. When the Sole Survivor arrives at Fourville the town is in the middle of an election where the vault has become a major point of contention.”
“The town's incumbent mayor believes the vault will open one day, and has made this the focal point of his campaign. His challenger believes the vault is holding the town back and attempts to get inside should be abandoned. The Sole Survivor's involvement can shift the scale and change the face of the community forever.”
Intriguing, right?

‘Fourville’ is packed with 10 main quests, 41 side quests, and seven radiant quests which, in total, should lead to up to 10 hours of gameplay.
You’ll be able to take a companion with you through the mod and the player’s voice lines are fully voiced.
In fact, over 5,000 lines of dialogue were recorded for the mod with a whopping 70 actors taking part.
Oh, and there are 40 new interiors to explore too.

The mod took 18 months to develop and, like I said, was updated as recently as this year.
It’s well worth diving into this festive period so if this sounds like your cup of tea, simply hop on over to NexusMods on PC and get downloading for free.
