Sometimes freebies don’t hang around for long, so if you want to enjoy the dark delights of an acclaimed RPG, you need to act fast. Ignore the need for stealth right now and make yourselves known before it’s too late.
If the hints at stealth and darkness haven’t given it away, the free game from the Cyberpunk 2077 publisher, GOG, is Styx: Shards of Darkness. Wide, open environments await those who venture into the depths of this sequel, a sequel which has a “very positive” rating over on Steam. Elsewhere, just in case you need more convincing, fans describe the game as “very good” and say that it offers “fun, unique gameplay”.

But if you intend to get this game for free, you need to act now. The highly praised RPG is only available for free until 24 November. If you head to the store and search for Styx: Shards of Darkness, you’ll see that it’s typically £17.99. However, to avoid paying that price, you can select to receive the game via the CD Projekt Red’s “giveaway” option, highlighted on the game’s page.

Selecting this option will take you to GOG’s Black Friday section, as well as a countdown for how long is left on this deal. Assuming you’re happy with the terms and conditions mentioned, you just add the game to your library and wait for the download to finish. Nice and simple.
You won’t be able to find this deal anywhere else. Although the game is heavily discounted on Steam, it’ll still cost you £2.69 – that’s a massive 85 per cent off, but it’s not as enticing as the word “free”. In GOG’s words, this is the “highest discount ever”, further reaffirming that this is a deal not to be overlooked or missed.
Remember: you have until 24 November to claim Styx: Shards of Darkness for the PC before it returns to its normal price.
