The Elder Scrolls series is one of the most important video game properties of all time, inspiring a legion of fantasy RPGs that hoped to get a slice of its RPG pie but few have come close to replicating its success.

The first game in The Elder Scrolls series was Arena in 1994, followed by its sequel two years later with The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, the latter of which is the inspiration for today’s story.
Available to claim for free right now via GOG.com, Daggerfall Unity - GOG Cut is a reimagining of the 1996 Bethesda Softworks classic that has been created by a passionate group of indie developers, collectively known as Daggerfall Unity.
“This ambitious project, launched over a decade ago by Gavin 'Interkarma' Clayton, is aiming to bring the unique experience of the classic open-world RPG game to a new generation of gamers,” reads the description of the game. It goes on to say: “Thanks to the efforts of the GamerZakh, a gaming content creator with a love for classics, you can now enjoy a special GOG Cut of the Daggerfall Unity title.”

According to the GOG.com page, Daggerfall Unity - GOG Cut can take nearly 300 hours to achieve everything there is in the game, and with it being just 5.4GB in size and compatible with Windows 7 and upwards, it shouldn't be too taxing on your PC.
