Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly a fantastic game but if you’re someone who’s used to playing third-person RPGs, you may find yourself longing for your usual perspective.
Well, it just so happens that if you’re a PC player, you can make that adjustment thanks to a very handy third-person mod.
Last year was a very transformative one for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt RED may have dropped the game’s new-gen port in 2022 but it was 2023’s Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty expansion that took Cyberpunk 2077 to dizzying new heights with their introduction of vehicular combat, cyberware and police overhauls, and new relic skill tree.

There was, of course, the surprise Update 2.1 which added a working metro system into the game too. In its current state, Cyberpunk 2077 is easily GOTY material - it’s just a shame it’ll never acquire that accolade.
Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below.
Cyberpunk 2077 may not be a GOTY winner but we do know that a sequel is on the way, codenamed Project Orion, which may have the potential to be.

I’m sure devs will have learnt plenty of important lessons from the first game’s release.
With Phantom Liberty being Cyberpunk 2077’s only major expansion and Project Orion being many years away, you may be looking for a new way to spice up your next playthrough.
You’ve come to the right place if its recommendations you are after.
NexusMods user sarunama’s ‘JB - TPP Mod WIP Third Person’ overhauls Cyberpunk 2077, turning it from a first-person game to third.

You’ll get to see Night City from a whole new perspective and finally take stock and appreciate your character’s best drip. The mod will switch to a first-person view when you draw a weapon if the weaponOverride is set to true, or you can retain a third-person view by opening the debug menu and clicking weaponOverride.
The mod is completely free to download and has, in fact, already been downloaded a whopping 603,000 times, giving you some idea as to the popularity and quality of it. It’s well worth checking out.
