The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to be a huge success straight out of the gate.
After all, it is a Nintendo console, but the games are going to do a lot of heavy-lifting.
As far as first-party games are concerned, we know of a few already that’ll definitely be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches. This includes the new Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the new Pokémon Legends game - and there'll surely be a new Super Mario platformer.

That last one is pure speculation but the Pokémon game is real, check it out below.
That said, there will apparently be another title released on or near the console’s launch date, a Legend Of Zelda game.
Now before you get too excited, there are hardly any details on this at the time of writing, but multiple reports have claimed that a remaster of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild was seen playing on the Nintendo Switch 2 behind closed doors.

A lucky few were invited to see some of Nintendo’s upcoming work, and in a bizarre twist, touch the new console but not see it.
The Breath Of The Wild remaster was obviously big news though, and a little worrying if you ask me.
If the Nintendo Switch 2’s first-party line-up consists of remasters and remakes of Nintendo Switch games, that’d be a bit disappointing.
That said, it's been rumoured for ages now that Nintendo is planning on releasing the Wii U ports of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Nintendo Switch. Obviously that hasn’t happened yet so perhaps we’ll see them finally make their next-gen debut on the Nintendo Switch 2?

The future is uncertain for Nintendo fans at the moment, but with the new console coming soon, there’s bound to be a Zelda and Mario game on it at launch, right?
