It has been just a few months since the title was launched on iOS and Android but since then, over 60 million players have downloaded and increased their screen time by sinking hours into the game.

Now after calls for a trading feature, prayers have finally been answered but fans are unhappy with some of the limits that have been implemented.
According to the Pokémon TCG Pocket announcement, trades will be limited to being between friends only and can only be made with cards of the same rarity.
There are also a handful of other rules that have not been received well by fans and that was made clear with the comments soon being filled with their frustrations.
A bit concerning how people are meant to complete sets with such limited trading. Max 1 star rarity is a huge disappointment as well, hopefully that gets increased quickly,” user P1geon wrote.

Another said, “So was the point of having all of these copies if I can’t trade for the ones I need? “Pokémon TRADING card game””.
However, user Writing_Spartan was seemingly fine with the decision.
“Wow, I predicted all of these limitations basically spot on, aside from it costing items to trade,” they wrote.
Honestly these are all good. The cap brings 1 star rarity makes a ton of sense and only being able to trade with friends does too.

Overall good trading terms.”
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Team also revealed that “items must be consumed in order to trade” which hints at some sort of currency being needed. Whether this is in-game or real currency remains to be seen.
"Items must be consumed in order to trade". It's over,” another comment read.
Overall, it seems as though despite the much sought after feature being added, its limitations have fans feeling frustrated.
