The big Pokémon leak from last year is still revealing details on the future of the franchise and how Pokémon will next appear on Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Gen 10, the next mainline game in the series, is mentioned in leaked documents offering a glimpse at the title set to release for both Nintendo Switch, and its follow-up console, the Switch 2.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were the last releases in the franchise.
According to Centro LEAKS, who has been combing the documents and posting their findings to Twitter, the next game will be called Pokémon Super Gaia.

Now, this could just be a codename for the project as the word ‘Ikkaku’ is mentioned in the leak, supposedly referring to the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Of course, Gaia could also refer to the game focusing on Greek mythology and Gods, as Gaia is the Greek Goddess of Earth.
We’re also missing a second title as usually Pokémon games have two releases such as Sun and Moon or Scarlet and Violet.
I’d assume it’s the former and the real name will change on release, given that Pokémon Gaia is the name of a ROMhack.

The internal name could at least point to Greece being the inspiration behind the upcoming Gen 10 region.
One thing fans are noticing is the use of ‘Super’ in the name which pairs up with some ideas that the Switch 2 will actually be called Super Switch, in a callback to the Super Nintendo (SNES), also known as the Super Famicom.
A lot of this is speculation based on the leak, and there’s still plenty of time for Game Freak and The Pokémon Company to pivot to a new name.
Hopefully, when the new console is revealed, we’ll find out more about the next Pokémon game.

For now, we’ll be stuck assuming and guessing on the future of the franchise.
