With more GameCube remasters on the way in 2025, we can’t wait to start the new year.
Nintendo has been slowly – very slowly – porting its classic games over to the Nintendo Switch.
However, there are always beloved favourites missing from the catalogue. I don’t need to say it, but we’re all thinking it: Wind Waker.

Although this GameCube remaster we’re talking about isn’t that particular title (sorry, folks), it is another experience we’ve been waiting to make a comeback.
According to a highly reliable industry insider, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is going to launch on the Switch in 2025.
Could we be getting a trailer for the second game like this gorgeous Metroid Prime Remastered one?
The news came after said insider remarked on the launch of a Metroid Prime art book.

Twitter user @SamusHunter2 said, “I'm looking forward to replay the entire trilogy on the Switch before that.
“About 2 Remastered, I can confirm what Grubb mentioned, it was planned as a standalone release but got moved a couple of times and now is planned for early next year.”
You’ll note that they mentioned Grubb. Jeff Grubb, as many of you will know, is another reliable leaker who's usually on the money when it comes to industry rumours.
On an episode of Last of the Nintendogs, Grubb said that Metroid Prime 2 Remastered was coming “relatively soonish”.

Obviously, such phrasing is open to interpretation; it could launch next week, or it could be months away.
That being said, Grubb’s vague comment reinforces Samus' claims that the sequel is on its way.
Without an announcement from Nintendo though, this could end up being nothing more than wishful thinking.
However, Samus does offer a little prediction about such an announcement.

“Personally, I wouldn't rule out an announcement of them at TGA, as timing would fit, but I have no information on that,” they said.
It could happen, so be sure to stick around for TGA early December to see if their prediction comes true.
