Nintendo Switch 2 graphical capabilities leave fans seriously hyped

Just imagine what the next Zelda game is gonna look like on this bad boy

For the millionth time this month, we’ve got some Nintendo Switch 2 leaks for you; leaks that supposedly imply that the console is close in power to one of Sony’s PlayStation models.

Shout out in advance to Forbes' Paul Tassi for the source on this one!

So, following the reports of recent leaks online, many have since concluded that the next Nintendo Switch will rival the power of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Some naysayers weren’t too happy with this news, as they apparently thought that a tiny, much less expensive handheld machine would somehow rival that of the PlayStation 5.

However, those of us who understand that it wouldn’t actually be feasible for Nintendo to roll out a £200 handheld that is capable of rivalling current generation hardware are actually pretty happy with this news.

In a Twitter thread detailing the leak, most Nintendo fans were relatively thrilled to hear about the potential specs for the console.

“Nintendo really played the long game here,” commented @Beanzard64, “When it was the Wii vs. the PS3/360, the graphical difference was night and day. With the next generation, the differences will be minimal, but Nintendo's got loads of exclusives and it's gonna be a portable system. Smart on them.”

Pokémon Legends Z-A is expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

“The Switch 2 is going to be the final big leap in gaming that will be large enough for a casual player to notice,” replied @ChaiDeluxe.

Really, I think the first commenter hit the nail on the head.

Nintendo has never really tried to be at the forefront of the scene in terms of graphical fidelity, at least since the OG PlayStation hit the scene.

They’re catering to a different demographic – a demographic that will likely be very happy should these leaks prove to be true.

Besides, games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom already look amazing on the Nintendo Switch. Imagine what the developers could do with a PS4 Pro-level machine.
