Now that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been officially announced, it’s time to start getting excited about holding it in our hands.

You’ll have the chance to do this early, courtesy of Nintendo, at events being held around the world.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been announced

Nintendo is going to be taking the new console to selected cities across Europe, giving players a chance to get a close up look at the hardware.

On the list are the following cities: London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, and Madrid.

Events will be held 11 April - 13 April.

In order to have a chance of attending, you’ll need to head over to Nintendo’s website and use your Nintendo account to register for tickets.

Of course, there is some small print for these events.

You will only be able to register for, and attend, one of these events. You cannot go multiple times.

The event is free-to-enter, however, ticket allocation is via a random draw, as it’s certain to be popular.

Ticket registration begins 17 January.

At the event, you will be able to try out the Nintendo Switch 2 and, we would assume, one of the launch titles.

Our money is on Mario Kart 9 being the game showcased due to its accessibility and players’ familiarity with the series.

The console will likely be shown running through a 4K display and players will surely have the chance to play in handheld mode with the ability to snap the Joy Cons off and on to the system.

It has been a long wait to finally see the unit, after countless leaks likely forcing Nintendo’s hand in showing it when they did.

Now we have a good idea of what it looks like and how it’ll operate, we’re awaiting more in-depth specs and a look at the launch line-up of games.
