Nintendo drops final wave of 16 free Switch downloads

Nintendo drops final wave of 16 free Switch downloads

Wake up, fresh freebies have dropped

A fresh new batch of Nintendo Switch downloads are ready for you to sample.

I'm not sure why I started with a baking analogy, but there we go.

Nintendo users have been blessed with plenty of surprise freebies lately, so much so that it’s easy to lose count.

If you’re already at risk of losing track, and don’t wish to be bombarded with further free downloads, turn back now.

Otherwise, let’s crack on with these 16 Switch freebies.

Experience the quiet life in The Garden Path

You’ve likely already guessed given the number of items available, but these downloads are the new batch of Nintendo Switch Online icons.

Unlike the previous wave of August downloads, these icons are Nintendo Switch Sports themed.

Just in time to see out the end of the Olympics 2024.

What’s on offer isn’t all that impressive, we have to admit.

However, if you're sporty and want to change your profile, this is one way to do it.

If these don’t tickle your fancy, there are some Animal Crossing freebies up for grabs, too.

Overall, there’s no reason why your NSO profile should be drab and underwhelming.

Should you not be in the market for more icons, and would instead prefer a Switch game to play, let us point you in the direction of Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure.

Reviewed by GAMINGbible’s Dan Lipscombe, this “charming puzzler” has “bags of heart”.

Sporting a unique art style alongside curious puzzles to solve, this is a “puzzling journey outside the box”.

Whether you decide to try out a new game or try on a new look, we won’t judge.

Still, if you intend to make the most of those 16 Switch downloads, make sure you claim the ones you want before the end of August.

You know how Nintendo likes to regularly rotate its NSO icons.
