The announcements for 2025 just keep coming and this one will cater to the Nintendo fans with an interest in the very famous building blocks…
Revealed in a shock teaser trailer just yesterday, Nintendo has revealed that it will be working in collaboration with LEGO to bring out none other than a LEGO Game Boy.
Fans are still holding out hope for a Nintendo Switch 2 announcement. Check out the original handheld below!
Scheduled for an October 2025 release date, this will not be the first time that the two companies have worked together.

Up until now, Nintendo and LEGO have come together to produce merchandise for the Animal Crossing, Super Mario and Mario Kart franchises to name a few but this will perhaps be its biggest collaboration yet.
The short teaser trailer did not actually show us the finished LEGO Game Boy but it did get us hyped by showing the famous blocks coming together to create the well-known console must-haves such as the iconic purple buttons and D-pad.
Other than that, we are still pretty much in the dark as to how it will look, how much it will cost and when exactly it will be released.
However, with an October 2025 release window, we can expect more information closer to the time.

Needless to say, hype for the brand-new handheld is already building and potential customers took to the reveal trailer to share their thoughts.
One Twitter user said, “If you can play actual games on it, just lay me down wherever I hear that news and let me die peacefully.”
Which I think is a positive response on this occasion.
However, another user was shocked to see Nintendo make this announcement before even revealing the highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.

“I can't believe this got announced before the Switch 2. What's next?
Literally, what are they waiting for? What is Nintendo doing lmao?,” they said.
That is a good question but for now, we can at least be excited for this epic collaboration coming later this year.
