Nintendo is treating its fans to one of its best gaming soundtracks, in my opinion, and the best part is it’s free!
I can’t lie, I love the Nintendo Music app. Listening to video game soundtracks while I work or play games is always enjoyable so it’s nice to have an official outlet to enjoy some of my favourite Nintendo tunes, at no additional cost mind you.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of soundtracks missing, I’m keeping an eye out for Super Mario Sunshine’s, but with how frequently the app is updated it won’t be long until we have a comprehensive list of almost all of Nintendo’s music history.

The latest to join the list is Super Mario 64, a game that’s well-and-truly stood the test of time since its launch on the Nintendo 64 in 1996.
Graphically, sure it looks a bit off nowadays but in terms of gameplay and score it’s still utterly fantastic, and you can relive some of your fondest memories through your eardrums with the new soundtrack.
Peach’s Castle, Tick Tock Clock, Dire, Dire Docks, all the hits are included and it’s all free, so you can’t grumble at that.
Also featured are the soundtracks to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Wii Sports, and even the Wii Channels in general, all of which are very nostalgic.

If you haven’t checked the app out yet you need to give it a go, but we warned you need a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online to access it.
In other news, 2025 is finally the year we’ll get that Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, possibly even the console’s launch if we’re lucky.
Fans couldn’t be more excited as you’d expect, and I personally can’t wait to see what’s been improved upon from the original Switch model.
