If you’re a The Legend of Zelda fan, then I’m imagining that you had a pretty nice weekend diving into Echoes of Wisdom.
It was always going to be tough following Tears of the Kingdom, but Echoes of Wisdom managed to secure a Metacritic score of 86 with its return to the top-down format.
In our own review, GAMINGbible’s Ewan Moore wrote, “It may have taken nearly four decades, but the first mainline Zelda game with the titular princess in the lead role was worth the wait. This is a magnificent adventure that whizzes and pops with imagination, and proudly stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best of Link’s tales.”

“If this is the Switch’s final Zelda game - and surely it has to be - then we’re going out on a high,” he continued.
To celebrate the game’s release, Nintendo has now launched a new batch of themed freebies.
Take a look at The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom in action below.
I’m talking about, drum roll please, profile icons.

It may not be the most exciting freebie but hey, you should never look a gift horse in the mouth.
New profile icons are dropped practically every week, and this latest batch is themed to Echoes of Wisdom.
There are set to be four waves, but this initial wave features one Link and one Zelda icon as the set’s headliners.
There are a couple of additional options, including a Tri icon and a plush bear icon.

Those are available from now until 2 October, with batch two running from then until 9 October.
Wave three will follow that, finishing on 16 October, with the final wave ending on 23 October.
As always, each icon will cost you five platinum points, or 10 if you opt for a background.
As a reminder, platinum points are totally free to earn.

You can complete easy ‘missions’ via the My Nintendo hub.
Some of those are as simple as linking your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account, which could stock up your coffers with 100 points.
These profile icons don’t always return so don’t miss out if you want to add these to your Zelda collection.
