The Lord Of The Rings fans are still eating well with the promise of new films, TV series and games in the coming years.
For those playing catch-up though there’s a Lord Of The Rings game you might have either slept on or missed entirely, and it’s free to play for a limited time only.
It’s called The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria and you can see it below
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an interesting title that forgoes the enormous battles and open-world exploration that you’d typically associate with a fantasy series like Lord Of The Rings.

It’s also lightyears ahead of that Gollum game that came out last year, which I’m still trying to shake the memory of…
The game sees the player become one of the dwarves and return to their home of Moria in the Misty Mountain, in search of adventure, treasure and the restoration of their old stomping ground.
You’ll explore the depths fighting whatever has taken residence there, loot the halls and chests and craft things to help you on journey. You can also play the game by yourself or with friends via its online multiplayer.
It’s a solid game and you could even argue it’s underrated, either way it’s a must-play for Lord Of The Rings fans and it’s no easier than ever to dive in.

Until tomorrow, 19 December, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is free to own on The Epic Games Store. There’s no strings attached once you’ve “purchased” it for free you officially own it forever.
You haven’t got long to grab it though so if you’re a fan of the franchise or just fancy having something new to play get it before it returns to its original price.
Get some friends to claim a copy too and get some multiplayer sessions in, it’s a much better game in co-op.
