Hogwarts Legacy fans united over Triwizard Tournament DLC

Hogwarts Legacy fans united over Triwizard Tournament DLC

We needed this

Hogwarts Legacy is arguably the perfect game for fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but it was also a lost opportunity when it comes to DLC

We did get some DLC packs but they were mostly cosmetic packs, not exactly the full-blown expansions many fans would have expected from a Harry Potter game.

Luckily Hogwarts Legacy 2 is inevitable, and hopefully it’ll give us more than just the same map with slight alterations, hopefully it lets us explore more of the world either as part of the base game or via DLC.

One DLC fans really wanted for Hogwarts Legacy, and one that could feasibly happen in the next game, is the Triwizard Tournament.

This tournament was the main plot point for Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire, and is arguably one of the only Harry Potter events that could be featured in a Hogwarts Legacy game.

Fans certainly think so anyway, as in a Reddit thread by Toasted_silver, the Triwizard Tournament was named as a “really cool” idea for a DLC quest.

Canonically though the Triwizard Tournament was disbanded between the years of 1792 and 1994, which explains why it wasn’t a thing in Hogwarts Legacy.

Surely the next game could tweak that history a bit and bring it back for one year only, just to spice up the gameplay a little bit.

Another highly-requested DLC expansion is the Chamber Of Secrets, the entrance of which can be seen in the game but not accessed.

This one would be slightly trickier to pull off as even if the game did let you go down there, there wouldn’t be anything to look at anyway since only the heir of Slytherin can wake up the Basilisk and that only happens in the Harry Potter story.

The next Hogwarts Legacy game has a lot of potential in terms of DLC, let’s hope we get what we want.
