It seems like the doors of Hogwarts will never close, not as long as there are students to enroll and quests to be completed. The newest of those missions, at least for a large section of the fandom, is being applauded for being one of the best parts of the entire game.
This isn’t the first time this segment has been praised for its content – the same expansion has previously been called “terrifying”, with gamers unable to put their controllers down until the mystery of the DLC was solved.
Magic and horrors await those who adventure in Hogwarts Legacy!
Sadly though, not everyone in the fandom has been able to sample the spooks of the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade’ DLC. Despite it being referred to as a new free DLC – which technically it is – PlayStation players have been able to play it since the title launched last year. Consequently, Switch, PC, and Xbox users have had to watch from the sidelines as this free expansion passed them by… until now, that is.

Later this month, ‘Haunted Hogsmeade’ will be available for all Hogwarts Legacy gamers, meaning now everyone can bask in the majesty of this “absolutely brilliant” outing into the ghostly side of the wizarding world.
As well received as the DLC has been, don’t be fooled into thinking it’ll be a walk in the part for your character because, in spite of the praise, fans are equally scared by the horrors lurking in the shadows of Hogsmeade.
“I was TERRIFIED, literally screamed and almost peed my pants,” revealed one player, solidifying the notion that this really is a different side of what we’ve seen in Hogwarts Legacy already. The fear continues, with another saying “Favorite quest in the game so far and the one with the most unique, spooky, Doctor Strange-like magical mindf**kery.”
Oh yes, anyone of a nervous disposition, prepare yourselves for what’s to come; we won’t ruin anything, but mannequins are included and they will haunt your dreams. But come on, it’s worth it given how long so many of us have waited for this DLC.
