Most gamers want nothing more than to be able to play GTA VI on its first day of release.
It’s the reason why so many already have their iron-clad excuses for having time off locked and loaded.
However, some GTA VI fans are now realising that they won’t be able to play this autumn like everyone else, and they’re far from happy about.

As revealed by IGN’s The Fix, Take-Two Interactive are “unconcerned” about the decrease in console sales and will still focus on launching on PlayStation and Xbox first.
Naturally, this will leave PC gamers without the possibility of playing the new title upon release.
Playing GTA VI won't be easy for everyone, unfortunately
This is by no means new behaviour from Rockstar Games’ parent company – the publisher is well known for launching PC versions much later down the line.

Still, considering how big a deal GTA VI has become, and the fact that we’re in 2025, focusing on consoles feels outdated.
Redditor Bladder-Splatter (what a name) joked that Rockstar “treats PC users like a f**kboy would”.
“Water wet,” commented speedballandcrack, clearly unsurprised by this GTA VI update.
When pressed further on whether the prospect of waiting several years for the PC port would prove too much for them, PC gamers showed that they’re made of sterner stuff.

“We literally waited over a decade for Red Dead Redemption, we're still waiting for Bloodborne port so a few years for GTA VI is child's play,” Old-Ordinary-6194 remarked.
They have the patience of a saint.
Other less patience fans are considering buying a console just for the initial release, then once they’ve played it they’ll sell the console.
We admire such dedication, though question whether GTA VI on launch day will be worth it. As some have theorised, there’ll likely be bugs that need patching.

Whichever way you look at this, PC gamers are once again being unfairly forgotten by Rockstar.
