A new Ubisoft job listing on LinkedIn seemingly hints that Far Cry 7 is in development, and there will be multiplayer modes.
Ubisoft has been very busy lately, with several projects in the work across multiple franchises. The company currently has 11 Assassin’s Creed games in the pipeline, a remake of the original Splinter Cell, and reportedly a new Ghost Recon title.
The next Ubisoft title on the way is Assassin's Creed Mirage, check it out below
Now, it seems they’ve got another game in the works, Far Cry 7, which recently advertised a new job opening.

While Far Cry 6 was an excellent game, it left a lot to be desired for some fans, however, its DLC led to some very exciting developments. The villain for Far Cry 3, Vaas, returned, teasing his appearance as the protagonist/antagonist in Far Cry 7.
While we still don’t know much about the unannounced Far Cry title, a new job listing has confirmed it's on the way.
Found on LinkedIn, the job being offered is a UX Designer, a role that prioritises the development of enjoyable video game experiences, often using player feedback to improve a game’s mechanic or feel. It also states the role is related to a “Far Cry Project”.
Interestingly, the description states a successful candidate will: “Support the online experience of the game (toxicity management, shop, etc.) in collaboration with game design.”

Not only does the listing seemingly confirm Far Cry 7 is in the works, but it could have more of a focus on multiplayer than previous entries. Previous titles allowed players to team up with a friend to explore the world, complete missions and more.
While Far Cry 7 will likely have a coop campaign like its predecessors, there’s a possibility we’ll see more modes added as well, potentially PvP or similar.
A release date is currently anyone’s guess, though a safe bet would be sometime in 2024, if not earlier.
