Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its release; that said, it still, on occasion, disappoints its fans.
Several days ago, CD Projekt Red released a major update for Cyberpunk 2077, an update which unfortunately had some issues from the off.
Despite some players holding off for a few days for those problems to be ironed out, it seems this new update is a “disappointing” one, nonetheless.

See the comparison for yourself
A comparison of the previous patch against the new Cyberpunk 2077 one was shared on YouTube by MxBenchmarkPC.
For a lot of players, what they saw was underwhelming, to say the least.

As one commenter explained, “I was so hyped to test this update, but when I turned the FSR3 on my 3060 Ti, I was really disappointed. Lot of input lag and I can feel stuttering even though the framerate is high.”
Sadly, the gripes about lag and questionable performance are prevalent in the comments section.
“Extremely disappointing that they had the opportunity to upgrade the upscaling to 3.1 and chose not to,” posted @christofos.
Opinion isn’t just being formed by watching the comparison video, there are also players who’ve already tried the update and found it lacking.

User @krnko5579 is one of those players.
“For me it doesn't even work like I enable it and the fps counter increases but the game still feels like the 40fps I've been getting before without any difference,” they commented.
Even though this massive update has left the fandom wanting, there’s other Cyberpunk related news that’s much more positive and exciting.
Did you know that Cyberpunk is getting a Johnny Silverhand expansion? Oh yes. It isn’t ready just yet, but it shouldn’t be too long before fans get to experience it firsthand.

As for the new update, you’ll have to be the judge on whether you deem it worthwhile or not; although the majority seems against it, there are some fans who think it’s a decent update.
