Few of us need an excuse to start another playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3, but if you need an additional incentive, there’s a monetary reward up for grabs.
We’ve been a tad quiet on the Baldur’s Gate 3 front here at GAMINGbible, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t still swooning over Astarion and his coy ways.
But we’ve merely been biding our time to come to you with glorious news, and finally that time is upon us.

We never tire of watching the Baldur's Gate 3 trailer
You see, there’s a rather elusive cutscene that remains largely unseen, to the point that some even question its existence entirely. As a result, a $500 reward is up for grabs.
The scene in question is one where Karlach breaks the fourth wall to speak to the camera.

It has technically been discovered before; however, it was unearthed by using mods, and thus Karlach’s actor, Samantha Béart, refuses to acknowledge that it’s been found.
In a Twitter post, the actor said, “Congrats on finding this, perhaps I'll talk about it when someone triggers this organically (rather than yanking the file and then getting confused about context)...”
We’ve linked to the video rather than embedded it so you can avoid the spoiler if you want to.
Despite this post existing, YouTuber Proxy Gate Tactician doubts it’s accessible without the aid of mods, and has thus extended the offer of cash to be proven wrong.

“I'll happily be proven wrong, which is why I've decided to throw up a bounty,” they explain.
“If someone can find a legitimate way without modifying the game's files or cheating to trigger this cutscene, post a method of how they did it, and others can do it themselves using that method, I will send them $500.”
The gauntlet has been thrown down, so which one of you brave warriors will meet this challenge?
