Baldur’s Gate 3 is only out on PC currently, but that hasn’t stopped the speedrunners from powering through the game in style. With one speedrunner in particular taking every activity, including sex, in their stride.
We all knew sex would become the star of the show in this RPG, and anyone claiming otherwise is lying. Offering an array of gorgeous lovers, and some downright weird romantic interests, BG 3 is a sexathon as much as it is magical, action-packed, and time-consuming.
Lower the lights and set the mood for Baldur's Gate 3
Apparently though, sex isn’t time consuming, because speedrunner extraordinaire Mae smashed (pun fully intended) through the eight minute timeframe on their quest to woo Lae’zel. If that name seems familiar to you it’s because Mae is the same legend who beat the game in 10 minutes and three seconds.

The key to their success, like with their sex-less speedrun, was to leap to victory. Using Enhanced Leap, Mae’s character was able to hop, skip and jump their way to Ravaged Beach. Where they continue to jump like their life depends on it to get to Lae’zel with as few delays as possible.
One delay they couldn’t avoid in BG 3, however, was the goblin battle at Emerald Grove; Mae couldn’t jump their way to freedom this time. Arguably, it’s the longest portion of the speedrun that racked up those minutes on the clock. Once the battle is over and Lae’zel is saved the night soon descends... Without any more obstacles in their way, the night ends in a passionate embrace, with fans dubbing Lae’zel as ‘Lay’zel’ for her… enthused efforts.
While Mae now officially holds two speedrun records, they’re not content with their eight minute sexcapades. When discussing their powerful skills, Mae explained how they cut the initial time down from five hours to eight minutes. However, they’re “hoping it continues to go further down from here!” The time, you filthy animals!
Now there’s an official sex speedrun, we’re certain more people will attempt to bed their way to victory in ever increasingly inventive ways.
