Assassin’s Creed Unity is one of the best looking games in the series, and it looks even better with a load of mods crammed into it.
It’s no secret that Assassin’s Creed Mirage was a breath of fresh air for Ubisoft’s flagship franchise. Not only did it look fantastic, it significantly reduced the open world size to something much more manageable, and shifted the focus back onto stealth rather than exploration and combat.

Though as Ubisoft looks ahead to Assassin’s Creed: Red, an exciting addition to the series, other fans can’t help but look back on some of the other bangers the developer has released, no not Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, today we’re talking about Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Advert
Assassin’s Creed Unity was washed with a wave of hate when it released, and rightly so because it was a buggy mess. But when you fix the bugs you’re left with a visually stunning game with some of the best parkour the series has ever seen, and when you add some mods to the mix it gets even better.
In a YouTube video by Ultimate Graphics you can see just how gorgeous the game can get when you apply reshaders and ray tracing. Paris has never looked better as the light bends around the builds, providing the perfect golden backdrop as you sprint across the rooftops.
It looks just as good on the ground, especially when the light reflects off a person’s face as it would in real life. It gives the streets of the city a new life, which is saying a lot because it looked fantastic already in the base game.
Assassin’s Creed Unity definitely deserves more praise than it gets, and hopefully one day Ubisoft decides to continue the story, or better yet, give it a remaster/remake for new-gen consoles.
