Assassin’s Creed Odyssey protagonist, Kassandra, will return in Assassin’s Creed Jade, but not in the way you think.
The closed beta for Ubisoft’s open-world mobile game, Assassin’s Creed Jade, is currently underway for a selection of lucky players who received an invite.
Take a look at Assassin's Creed Jade below
Taking Assassin’s Creed to third-century BCE China, the title is introducing several first-time features for the series, most notably a customisable character. That’s right, the assassin you play as is entirely your own, and can have whatever face and features you’d like.

That being said, the latest leaked gameplay has revealed the game will feature some familiar faces, like Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, a surprise to be sure but a welcome one.
The YouTube channel Assassin’s Creed Series shared the gameplay, which has since been deleted, but not before the content creator JorRaptor captured and shared some screenshots on Twitter.
From what was shown, it seems Kassandra briefly appears to lend a hand whilst on her own adventure, as well as teach the player a thing or two about being an assassin. It’s not the first time she’s popped up in a game that wasn’t her own either. Kassandra appeared during a crossover event in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Whether Ubisoft has plans to continue featuring her as a cameo character is unknown, but it’s cool to see she’s doing well after the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. At the end of her story, Kassandra obtains the Staff of Hermes, which grants her the gift of immortality, hence why she’s still kicking in time periods that aren’t her own. Kassandra will also reappear in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR game.

In other news, Assassin’s Creed fans in India have been unable to take part in the Assassin’s Creed Jade beta, and may be unable to play the full release too, as the game could potentially be blocked by the Indian government.
Assassin’s Creed Jade doesn’t have a concrete release date as of yet but is aiming for an early 2024 launch on mobile devices.
