Chris Tyson, one of YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson’s friends and channel co-stars, recently revealed that they have been on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for two months, and use all pronouns.
The influencer has been opening up about his identity online: “Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles [gender nonconforming] people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a first world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies,” Tyson recently tweeted.
Unfortunately though, as reported by Rolling Stone, Tyson has been hit with a lot of transphobic backlash from viewers and other YouTubers, which has now prompted MrBeast to step in.

On Twitter, user @Relolyn shared a newly published video by Australian YouTuber SunnyV2, which was titled ‘Why Chris Will Soon Be A Nightmare For MrBeast’. They tweeted: “This new SunnyV2 video feels really invasive for all the wrong reasons. Like why did you make this? You delved into the man’s marriage and s**t, it’s just really off-putting and unnecessary.”
Donaldson responded: “Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my ‘nightmare’ he’s my f***en’ friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off.”
Previously, Tyson took to Twitter to express that “it makes everything so worth it” to have helped start conversations about HRT and gender, despite being nervous to go public about their identity. They wrote: “I’m genuinely so glad so many people are learning what HRT is and how it CAN and HAS helped so many people because of my tweet.

“I was super nervous to be public about this [because] I’ve always been so private when it comes to this, but seeing conversations started [because] of me is amazing. It makes everything so worth it. I’m so excited to have more conversations like this in the future with you all.”
