So, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been out for a full week now, and for the most part, it seems like fans have been having a great time. It had the franchise’s top-selling opening weekend of all time, and players have been praising the game’s Zarqwa Hydroelectric map for its creativity, as well as its stunning visuals.
A lot of hype for the game has come from a place you might not expect, though. TikTok is currently being flooded by fans thirsting over Ghost - a simple search for the guy will present dozens of fancam-style edits, fan art, and much more as people obsess over the guy. Some have even claimed that they’re getting the game purely because they think he’s hot, and you know what? Good for them.
Check out some gameplay footage from Modern Warfare II below.
Not everyone is happy about this, though. Some have expressed their annoyance that so many people totally new to Call of Duty are throwing themselves into the franchise so enthusiastically just because they fancy the guy.

“Why on Earth did y’all have to sexualise Ghost?” Thecubancrusher questioned. “You haven’t been through what I’ve been through with Ghost. All these new fans sexualising Ghost - you didn’t get betrayed by f**king moustache man like I did, and you damn sure didn’t burn in the fiery pits like me and Ghost did together. Can people not enjoy anything without the creatures of society sexualising it? Like why?”
Others agree with this sentiment: “Don’t get me wrong he’s obviously attractive but when [you] grow up with him it’s frustrating lol,” one replied in the comments. “[For real] makes me sad,” wrote another. "Agreed," another added.
In the comments section, the original poster of the TikTok also wrote “I am a creature of society”, seemingly in reference to the end of the video, so perhaps they came round in the end to the others in the comments calling Ghost their “lil mew mew” and “baby girl”. What an odd time to be a CoD fan.
