The name Michael Jordan is as synonymous with basketball as the likes of Pele or Maradonna are with football. The two are entwined and inseparable. As such, it makes total sense that Michael Jordan will be getting his own edition of NBA 2K23, as well as being the cover star for both that and the premium Championship Edition of the game.
2K, who develop and publish the NBA games, made the announcement today that the 14-time NBA All-Star, five-time NBA Most Valuable Player, six-time NBA World Champion and recent Hall of Fame inductee will be appearing on the cover of the two editions and good lord, that is quite a list of achievements.
Check out the announcement trailer for the news right here, which features footage of the star in-game, as well as some of his greatest moments on the court.
As you can see, the trailer offers up some of Jordan’s iconic skills alongside snippets of him in NBA 2K23. The small print at the end of the trailer also refers to there being “exclusive Challenges” and MyTeam rewards for PlayStation 5 owners being introduced every season until September 2023.
