Call of Duty fans are feasting well. Last week, Modern Warfare II finally launched - and it’s officially Activision’s most successful Call of Duty launch to date. Fans are loving the new anti-camping tool, plus one new map is getting a ton of love for its creativity. It helps that fan-favourites like Ghost have also made a return. In fact, there’s a lot of Ghost thirst floating around on social media - but that’s an entirely different story.
All in all, there’s plenty to keep fans busy but there’s more Call of Duty on the way. Modern Warfare II’s season one officially kicks off on 16 November which is also the day that Warzone 2.0 releases. Fans are curious to learn more about Warzone 2.0’s new region, Al Mazrah, but in the meantime, they’ve unearthed a possible map in Modern Warfare II.

As reported by Insider Gaming, rumours suggest that Warzone 2.0’s second Battle Royale map could be Las Almas. The huge city features buildings (duh), mountains, rivers and an airport - perfect for a Battle Royale. The map actually features in MWII’s campaign, plus as a 6v6 multiplayer map known as Mercado Las Almas.

The reason that fans think Las Almas will be featured in Warzone 2.0 is down to an easter egg discovered by Twitter user just4leaks2. During the mission ‘El Sin Nombre,’ a map of Las Almas can be found behind Diego. This could be a coincidence but we’re going to roll with the theory that it’s a Warzone 2.0 easter egg.
Insider Gaming reports that Las Almas matches leaked concept art they viewed last year of one of Warzone 2.0’s Battle Royale maps. Seeing as Warzone 2.0 is out in less than two weeks, we don’t have long to wait until we find out the truth.
