The latest update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 brought with it some cool additions like new suits and a New Game+ mode for those who just want more Spidey. However, Insomniac also updated a few other areas of the game not just bringing in some quality-of-life tweaks, but also overhauling some of the visuals.
As discussed on Reddit, a change that some fans had been begging for was actually implemented and now they’re overjoyed. What is this change? Well, unless you’re looking for it, you may just skim over it.
This latest update brings a new lease of life to Marvel's Spider-Man 2
The issue fans had was with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man suit, which didn’t look particularly accurate to the film. The problem many pointed out was the shade of red used, which was seen as too dark, which then threw off the silver edging on the webbing, too. The new version tones this down and makes the silver a little more subtle.

As mentioned, the fans are very happy with one saying in shock, “I assumed they'd simply restore it to the quality of the original game. They exceeded that. Hopefully, they will match the webbing on the black suit next.” Another fan exclaimed, “FINALLY! My biggest gripe with the suit was the colors and they fixed it. HUGE W.”
Fans can download the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update now and take advantage of New Game+ which will allow you to replay the game with all your unlocks. There are also mission replays, audio description for accessibility, as well as several new suits to wear. It’s the perfect excuse to replay the game and rock the golden gadget styles, or mess around with the new photo mode options. Why not put on the Raimi suit and grab some new photos while swinging above New York? Great work from Insomniac to introduce so much to the game.
