PlayStation has officially confirmed when we can expect Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to hit PlayStation 5, and it's way sooner than we might have expected.
The Spider-Man sequel, which will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up to fight Venom, was first announced back in September 2021. We haven't seen much of the game aside from a brief reveal trailer, but given the impending release window I'm guessing we can expect that to change very soon.
Earlier this week it was reported that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was aiming for a Fall 2023 release window. Now, the official PlayStation Twitter account has confirmed this to be the case.

"What a year it’s been for PlayStation Studios," reads a post on the PS Blog. "Here at Insomniac Games we’ve been in absolute awe of the work of our peers. Congrats to everyone on a successful 2022… and here’s to next year being just as exciting as we continue to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ready for release next fall.”
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5. The first game launched September 7, 2018, so we'd imagine that the sequel is also eyeing up a similar window.
Spidey isn't the only Marvel superhero Insomniac Games is working with at the moment, of course. The developer also announced a new Wolverine game last year. Because, you know, it's not already busy enough. Marvel's Wolverine also has a tentative 2023 release date (and is PS5-exclusive), but I imagine this one is further away than the Spider-Man sequel.
