It’s finally the year of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. At long last, the PS5-exclusive sequel to 2018’s incredible web-slinging adventure will be releasing this autumn, and it sounds like we should be gearing up for another must-play game.
Previously, Venom’s in-game voice actor Tony Todd teased that it’s going to be a truly action-packed title, and hinted that Venom is going to have a particularly brutal role, which I for one can't wait to see. Now, in an interview with Comic Book Movie, Peter Parker’s voice actor Yuri Lowenthal has spoken about the “massive” scale of the game, and revealed that his work on the sequel isn't over yet.
Take a look at the trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 below.
“I’ve still got a little bit to do. It’s a massive game so I’m still doing a little bit of work,” Lowenthal said. “I know they’re confident about their release date and Insomniac has always been good about that. Obviously, I can’t really talk about the game much, but I will tell you that it’s astonishing.

“I’m so excited for you to play it. They know they’ve got big shoes to fill from the last two games and they’ve done it,” he laughed. “I just can’t wait for people to play it.”
This is far from the first time that we’ve been told to expect good things about Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Last year, one leaker claimed that the game is “exceeding expectations”, and apparently looks so good that one employee mistook the gameplay for a cutscene. It really doesn’t get much more exciting than this - let’s hope that we get another trailer soon before everyone implodes from the hype.
We still don't have an exact release date for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but its autumn release window suggests that it's likely to be at least September before it comes out. It definitely sounds like it's going to be worth the wait, though, so hang tight.
