Marvel officially introduces our new Venom

It's time for an All-New Venom

It’s all a bit chaotic over at Marvel Comics at the moment. Especially for Venom’s Eddie Brock, who is in an all-out war with his son over the future of the planet.

Essentially, they’re going at each other because they think the other person is the cause of a hellish future yet to come.

Venom: The Last Dance will be the ending part of the recent trilogy of films

At the start of the most recent arc of Venom, the symbiote jumped back to Spider-Man while the father and son duke it out.

This will all lead to the symbiote not reattaching to Eddie and leaving Spider-Man for a new host, but as of yet we have no idea who it will be.

There are some frontrunners, of course.

Once Venom jumps to a new host it will kick off a brand-new series called All-New Venom which will see the end of cosmic shenanigans and a return to “street level” fighting, with a more character-focused story.

But who will Venom be? Well, as of now it could attach to Rick Jones, Madame Masque, Robbie Robertson, or even Luke Cage.

These are the leading suspects as Marvel is keeping everything well under wraps, but you can be sure that one of these characters is going to have to deal with the symbiote powers soon.

All-New Venom’s writer, Al Ewing has said of the series that “It's almost more like a Spider-Man-level story. It is set on Earth, very much in the normal New York City.”

The idea is to take things back to Earth in more ways than one. Ewing continues by saying that All-New Venom, “has a lot of that ground-level superhero action, where it's less about cosmic entities battling in each other's mindscapes.”

So, who will take on New York as Venom when the battle ends? Your guess is as good as ours, but it would be great to see Luke Cage get a run in.
