Especially during the modern era, it’s unlikely that a lot of games will truly be exclusive and many will eventually jump from one platform to the next.
One game in question is the grotesque first-person horror game, Scorn. Developed by Ebb Software and published by Kepler Interactive, Scorn initially launched as an Xbox console exclusive in 2022 with its visual presentation inspired by the art of H. R Giger.
In June 2023, a potential PlayStation 5 release was teased on the official Scorn Twitter account with eager horror fans keen to experience this once-Xbox console exclusive. Well, it has now been officially confirmed that Scorn is in fact headed to PS5 later this year.

The news of Scorn’s arrival to PlayStation 5, was not only confirmed by the developers on Twitter, but added details were revealed on the PS Blog.
While Scorn will no doubt essentially be the same experience as its Xbox Series X|S counterpart, the PlayStation 5 port will take advantage of the DualSense controller's unique features.
“Every weapon or tool has a subtle, but different feeling of weight,” reads the PS Blog post. “For example, the piston-like melee tool, used to operate different contraptions, and occasionally in desperate attempts of self-defence, has a specific resistance in the trigger that when used alongside the haptics, enhances the desired effect.”
What’s more, the DualSense controller light bar will represent the player’s health changing its colours depending on the situation at hand, allowing the player to know whether they’re near death at a quick glance. The PS Blog post also claims to have created “something special for PlayStation 5 players” with the DualSense features.

Finally, in collaboration with Maximum Games, there will also be a PS5 exclusive physical edition which includes the game, a steelbook case, as well as the digital soundtrack and artbook.

In our review of Scorn, we said that it: “achieves something all horror games aspire to, but it’s not quite up to the standards of the horror genre’s best. That being said, fans of dread-filled atmospheres and H. R. Giger-inspired aesthetics will not want to miss this one, so long as you have the emotional resolve required.”
Scorn is available now on PC and Xbox Series X|S, including on Xbox Game Pass. At this time, a set release date hasn't been announced for PlayStation 5, but it will arrive at some point in 2023.
