Latest 'The Boys' Episode Features Superhero Orgy "Not Suitable For Any Audience”

The latest episode of The Boys is perhaps the most controversial one yet - it's "not suitable" for anyone.

What sort of stuff do you look for in a superhero show? Lots fast and fun action scenes probably spring to mind, some well-written character arcs, and perhaps some cool villains to smash. Fairly standard stuff, but we all love it.

Of course, then there’s the shows that don’t do that. Amazon Prime Video series The Boys has never been a conventional one, like, at all. Without getting into spoilers, this season alone, we’ve seen a genuinely horrific scene which drew clear inspiration from those Thanos and Ant-Man memes - you know the ones. As reported by Men’s Health, the show’s latest episode has taken things to the next level.

Take a look at the trailer for season three of The Boys right here.

Episode six - ‘Herogasm’. The name probably already says a lot, but I guarantee it’s so much more than it sounds. In the teaser trailer released for the episode earlier this week, viewers got a very lengthy warning for what the episode contains: “This episode depicts a massive supe orgy, airborne penetration, dildo-based maiming, extra strength lube, icicle phalluses and cursing. It is not suitable for any audience.” Huh.

In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Eric Kripke elaborated on the chaos further: “It’s probably one of the more graphic hours of mainstream television that I think anyone will have seen,” he said. “I think you have to really turn to porn to see things that are more graphic.

“When we first started prepping it with Nelson [Cragg], the director, and he was showing us what he had planned, I was just like, ‘wow, are we allowed to show all of that?’” he continued. “They checked with Standards, and there’s like these hilarious rules about how often you can simulate humping and whether or not you can show an erect penis and how long you can show a private part. There’s all these rules, but we were within the bounds of what the rules were. So the answer was we could show it.”

So, there you have it. The episode is available to stream right now on Prime Video, so if you’re itching to see what all the fuss is about, don’t let me stop you.
