LADbible’s ‘First Impressions’ Card Game Is On Sale Now

Emulate the awful impressions of the celebs, in the comfort of your own home

We know a lot of you love to take your gaming off the screen and onto the tabletop, or even into the palms of your hands (controller to one side, naturally). And our good friends at LADbible have a brand-new card game that’s perfect for social gatherings at home, on holidays, down the pub or anywhere, really. If you can get together in a space, you can play this game.

First Impressions is based on LADbible’s hugely popular YouTube series - if you’ve not seen it before, here’s Jack Black and Karen Gillan playing along, and here’s Will Smith going head to head with Martin Lawrence. I’ll wait…

Good stuff, right? As you can see, the game is all about pulling off a convincing impression (or, y’know, one funny enough to make a kind of sense to a partner) of a celebrity in a certain scenario. Imagine, if you will, The Rock having to sheepishly ask where the toilets are in a supermarket, or James Bond (actor: player’s choice) sitting down to read a bedtime story to a room full of sugar-buzzing four year olds too hyperactive to keep heads on pillows.

Inside the box you’ll find 100 personalities, celebrities and characters (and, uh, animals) to assume the role of, and 100 scenarios to throw them (or, rather, your best version of them) into. It’s a fairly simple concept, but we can guarantee that it’ll deliver hours of fun. Need further convincing? Here’s Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer having a go; and Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal, too. Or, hey, just watch this supercut of a whole array of stars doing their best and worst First Impressions…

Now, while you may never be quite as good as Ryan or Jodie, or any of the celebs on show above, you can certainly give it your very best shot when First Impressions goes on sale on 10 March, exclusively through LADbible’s dedicated shop. What’s more, just playing the game could get you featured on LADbible.

On the box you’ll find a QR code that will send you directly to LADbible’s First Impressions submissions page where you can upload your best - or worst - attempts at the game. Y’never know, you might just end up landing yourself the viral fame you’ve always craved.

If you’re keen to get your hands on LADbible’s first ever game, then you can do so at first-impressions.store. The game costs a very reasonable £24.99; is available for UK residents only (for now, we hope to offer it internationally, soon!); and is recommended for players aged 12 or older - but exactly how, ahem, adult you want to make these impressions, is all on you.
