Controversial YouTuber and internet shouty man Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem has been widely criticised for his shockingly misjudged response to Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa’s latest livestream.
For those who might not be aware, Siragusa recently claimed in a deeply distressing livestream that she’s trapped in an abusive relationship with a husband who has been forcing her to stream and pretend that she’s single.
During the stream (which has since been deleted), Siragusa shared a number of threatening texts she alleged to be from her husband. Among them are warnings that he’ll destroy her possessions, delete her social media accounts, and leave her without any money. The clear implication is that this man has taken control of every aspect of Siragusa’s life.

It remains unclear who exactly this man is, or even if Siragusa is currently safe. A number of fellow streamers have reached out to offer messages of support, or otherwise attempted to check in. Whatever is going on, Siragusa is clearly distressed and in need of help.
Which is why Keem’s response to the situation has gone down about as well as you’d expect. In a now-deleted tweet, the YouTuber said he believed Siragusa was being abused… before immediately criticising her for pretending to be single.
“Amouranth told her chat about her husband who has been in control of her bank accounts taking the money, also threatening to kill her dogs etc. Guys online been donating to her for years without realising the money was going to her husband."

I don’t know much, but if your immediate response to a woman claiming she’s been abused for years is to express concern for the men who somehow believed they were dating her because they had an OnlyFans subscription? Well, you might just be an awful human being.
After receiving a hefty amount of backlash from people explaining in great detail why he shouldn’t have said what he said, Keem deleted the Tweet and then added in a follow-up that he was "just making the point" that content creators shouldn’t "lie to their fanbase for money".
