Hogwarts Legacy players have discovered a quick and simple way to easily defeat trolls, knocking them off a cliff.
Thousands of wizards all over the world are still playing Hogwarts Legacy, with PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers able to play it for free via a trial, albeit for a painfully short time. They’ve modded the game to include more spells, discovered new details after hundreds of hours of playtime, and tried to murder unkillable NPCs.
In their latest escapades, they’ve uncovered a genius way to get rid of trolls with minimal effort. Trolls are quite the threat in this game, as they are in the films, being giant, bulking monsters that can quickly demolish the player if they’re not careful. They’re often quite tanky too, taking a lot of punishment before finally going down, unless you abuse the forbidden curses like a true dark wizard.

Now though, one player has shared their own method of quickly dispatching trolls. Reddit user confusedplayer created a post saying: “Tricking a troll into falling off a cliff seems more realistic strategy than to fight it with a wand.” The video showed them luring one of the beasts towards a cliff, hopping on a broomstick and safely observing the troll tumble to their doom. Apparently, they’re not the brightest tools in the shed.
Fellow players commended the strategy, with many wishing they’d thought of the idea during their own playthroughs.
“I've been playing this game wrong”

“Why didn’t I think of that before? I was playing the game yesterday and I had to fight off two armoured trolls at the same time.”
“Oooh I'm trying this asap”
We have to admit, it’s much more efficient than drawing out the battle with long spell combos, or you could just hit them with an Avada Kedavra and have the whole thing over and done with.

It’s clear Hogwarts Legacy fans are great at making their own fun, like when one player created their own side quest involving a fish they’d found on land. Unfortunately Nintendo Switch fans still have quite a while to wait before they get their acceptance letter, following several delays for their version of the game.
