Hogwarts Legacy continues to baffle me.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’d think that developers would’ve planned for a post-launch DLC.
Hogwarts Legacy was a whopping financial success, and that hardly came as a surprise given the IP developers were working with.

As such, you’d surely want to capitalise on that in the form of a DLC expansion but alas, Hogwarts Legacy has received very little in the way of post-launch content.
Yes, a sequel has been teased - although that’ll be years away - and there are those rumours of a Director’s Cut but even still, it’s a strange decision.
Despite this lack of content, Hogwarts Legacy’s players have suddenly found a fun new way to play the game and I have to admit, it’s kind of genius.

I can see why players are flocking back in.

Essentially, players are using Hogwarts Legacy to somewhat reenact events from the Harry Potter film/book series.
It’s not exactly roleplay though. Instead, fans are filling the gaps, I suppose, and exploring the moments that would’ve made for terrible viewing.
This is best explained through example.
Reddit user luffyisNOTreal uploaded a video captioned, “How far Harry ran to tell Dumbledore about Crouch,” featuring a sped-up video showing Hogwarts Legacy’s MC running from the Forbidden Forest to Dumbledore’s Office.

The user also uploaded another example that read, “How far Harry had to chase after Snape and Draco”.
You can take a look for yourself below.
“Harry’s cardio must be insane,” joked Dr-Dice.

“Harry has never skipped leg day in his entire life,” added wonderhall.
Of course, some users have pointed out that Hogwarts’ layout in Hogwarts Legacy is slightly different to how it is in the films but it's not too dissimilar so these silly little experiments still give you a pretty idea at just how far Harry and co had to travel.
And now I find myself scouring my brain for more required film journeys that need to be explored.
