Hogwarts Legacy is getting its first major update since the game launched last year, but fans really aren't happy with what's coming.
The Harry Potter RPG was one of the most successful video games of last year, so when it was announced Hogwarts Legacy would be getting free summer DLC, expectations were high.
Yesterday developer Avalanche Software confirmed that we'll be able to download the new Hogwarts Legacy update next week, which includes a new mode fans have desperately been waiting to see.

Beyond that, however, I think it's fair to say the update has left fans feeling more than a little disappointed.
Alongside a new photo mode, the Haunted Hogsmede DLC quest - previously exclusive to PlayStation - will be made available on all platforms. We're also getting a few new skins for our mounts, some Harry Potter glasses, and some new clothes.
"This is it?" one fan wrote on Twitter. "All this time and the only thing we're actually getting is the Photo Mode and a couple of new outfits?"
Another added: "That's all? After all this wait? No Ng+. No quidditch. Photo mode that should have been there in the beginning. Haunted Hogsmeade quest that's already available for PS players. Some useless cosmetics. Let me uninstall asap."

It's worth noting that the team behind Hogwarts Legacy did try and set expectations for the summer update weeks ago, but that hasn't stopped the fans from making their feelings known.
One mode fans were really hoping to see added into the game was New Game Plus, and it must be said that the lack of this particular feature is baffling, especially if the aim of the update is to get people back in and playing Hogwarts Legacy again.
We currently have no real idea whether or not there'll be more Hogwarts Legacy DLC on the horizon - paid or otherwise. Watch this space.
