It’s come to my attention that the vast majority of Hogwarts Legacy players are totally unaware that you can visit the castle’s kitchen - and this is an oversight we need to rectify.
There is a very good explanation as to why this is the case.
The kitchen is pretty tucked away, so it's not exactly a room that’s obvious or easy to stumble upon.

Those in Hufflepuff will have a major advantage as it is located close to the Hufflepuff house common room, although you’ll still need a keen eye.
If you’re in Gryffindor, which is the house I played as, you’ll certainly have visited the kitchen as its part of the Gryffindor-specific house quest.
If you’re in Ravenclaw or Slytherin though, or just an unobservant Hufflepuff, you’re far more likely not to have visited the kitchen but you can definitely do so.
ICYMI: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is out now. Take a look at the game in action below.
The easiest way to locate the kitchen is to fast travel to the Grand Staircase location via the Floo Flame network.

Head down the stairs to reach the bottom floor. To your left, you should then see a large painting featuring various fruits.
It’s the size of a doorway, so that should give away that you’re in the right place.
Approaching this painting will bring up the option to ‘tickle the pear’ which if pressed will trigger a cutscene.
After this, you can freely enter the kitchen and see the house elves at work.

My personal favourite is the guy stomping on all the grapes, with his little sassy wiggle.
If you’re struggling, spamming Revelio will help reveal the painting that you need to approach.
“I had almost completely forgotten about the kitchen until recently, by chance, I started a Gryffindor play-through because my wife was tired of Slytherin,” said one Reddit user.
Others shared similar sentiments of joy after finding this oft overlooked location.

Just when you thought you’d uncovered all of Hogwarts’ secrets.
I wonder if any more await discovery.
